STAND OFF KNOT.

Can anyone send me or post a animation on how to tie this stand off/grand banks knot? I have never used it and have tried it but i can not obtain a correct knot at this time.

Anyone that can help would be great!

It's is mentioned in this thread.

I have tied the standoff knot. I make a double loop in the main line. Place the leader of the hook on this loop, and tie 3 or 4 half hitches around the main line using the leader of the hook. Make sure to work each hitch down so it sits properly.

Hard to explain, easy to learn when shown.
