My brother is lookin at a 1981 22' Grady Cuddy.

The boat has an I/O that was rebuilt 3 yrs ago(not a Mercruiser)

Outdrive was also rebuilt more recently.

New canvass and good electronics.

No trailer.

evidence of an oil leak in bilge.

Reverse is tempramental.

have it from reliable source that other than mentioned problems the boat is good.

He's paying $5,000.....what do you think???

Thanks to both of you for your input........Alan,I found out today that the outdrive is an AlphaI....rebuilt last year.

Yep,the outdrive is Merc anyway.......forgive the niavity but does that mean that the engine has to be as well? Cause he is not sure.
Interestingly......the seller is buying a new boat and was going to just trade the Grady in.The Shamrock dealer was gonna give him $5,000. Then my brother expressed interest and the guy said "what the heck" gimmie $5,000. This is one factor that kinda makes me think that this might be a steal.
