Hi Folks,

When it comes to hunting down your dream fish… there are many variables!

Given that, what is your best conditions (wind, tide, moon, tackle, method, season) to track her?

Think about this one carefully and let's talk about it. ;)

Al,
Wind, none to very light. Tide, don't make a difference. Moon, not a big deal but preferably off the full moon. Tackle, 130STs on unlimited rods. Method, trolling. Season anytime the water temps at the edge get over 72 degrees. Can you guess what the species is?

dream fish

Best shot at a large would be on the south shore, sw winds, incoming tide, right before a new moon, late spring, using bait probably, but can't rule out a darter or bucktail.
OR
Same location, outgoing tide, right before or during a good storm (preferably a nor easter), Oct-Nov, again on darters or bucktails.
