Very bad things can happen if you use the oil filters referenced below!

SUBJECT: Amended, 119770-90620-12 Oil Filter (12-pack version)
MODEL: 6LP Series
Attn: All Yanmar Distributors & Dealers
In reference to previously issued parts bulletin YPB1025 dated 4/24/08, concerning the
suspected defect of 6LP oil filter part number 119770-90620-12 (white colored 12-pack filter,
only), please be advised of the following:
It has been determined that the suspect filters are identified with lot date code ?072507? or later.
This lot date code appears printed on the top surface of each filter and on the label affixed to
the 12 pack master carton.
All 119770-90620-12 oil filters identified with date codes earlier than above indicated ?072507?
have been determined to be free of defect and are therefore safe to install and to continue in
use.
We realize that questions remain regarding the handling, etc., of the above mentioned
suspected defective filters. We will be addressing these issues with updates in the very near
future.

As a precaution, we advise immediate discontinuation in the sales and usage of
the above referenced engine oil filter, due to a suspected but, as of yet,
undetermined defect.
For the short term, a limited number of the alternate individually supplied
version of this filter will be available through the Yanmar Parts Department.
We anticipate having more specific updated information on this subject shortly,
and will keep you advised,
