Looks like it was time for some spring training payback.

A Yankees rookie pitcher hit a Devil Ray batter in the 1st inning and then Sheely Duncan went in spikes high to second base that touched off a bit of a brawl.

Yanks are leading 3-2 in the 7th.

It should be an interesting 18 games with the Rays this year.

I didn't see it, but on Mike and the Maddog I heard them say Duncan went into second with his feet up unnecessarily. The second basemen was unhappy with the play and one of the outfielders tackled Duncan from behind. Both benches emptied. No punches were thrown.
Both teams had been warned before the game so players were ejected.

Not the thing to be doing in pre season. Neither was bowling over the catcher the day before. Both are wrong.

That was in an All Star Game. No need for that either. But Pete would have bowled over his grandmother. He had no finese, he only knew one way to play and it was not always the right way. Then again he didn't care for the game as much as he did for himself. He proved that.

Staying side tracked for just a minute longer. That collision affected Fosse for the rest of his career and to this day the guy cannot lift his arem over his head. He broke a bone in his shoulder and due to the swelling it wasn't discovered until later on. Pete Rose is a POS and was paid back in spades. My opinion. The ironic thing is Rose did time in Fosse's home town of Marion.

Billy Crystal is set to play in todays exibition game at 1 pm. (Cany get your posting done befor the game please) He says he wants to be the DH, Designated Hebrew. I'm gonna watch this it should be funny.
BTW today is Billys 60th birthday, so he was given #60. Do you think they will retire it after the game?

Crystal is the DH. He led off the first by running the count to 3-1 befor K-ing. Crowd gave hime a cheer anyway.

He fouled his first strike off of first base. Almost a bouncer over the bag.

Then swung through 2 pitches.

They pulled him after one at bat. No need to watch the rest of the game now. A holes.

Joe Girardi fined, Shelley Duncan & Melky Cabrera suspended
