And the fact checking academy award goes to...

quote:
Once the flotilla ? Yankee Patriot, Yankee Spirit, Yankee Freedom, Yankee Clipper and Yankee Captain ? is sold, the boats will be operated as independent businesses from new locations along the Inner Harbor by former employees and captains, a stable summer work force of 60 that Hill long has considered kin.

Watch out, Greg!
They are planning to sell the boat right from under you!

Sh!tty reporting and kidding aside, the YF newsletter and website both mention the exciting relocation to exciting downtown of exciting Gloucester, but the details are conspicuously absent. I hope they find something suitable.

Well, that's a shame.

I grew up fishing the half-day boats on the yankee freedom and clipper, and have many fond memories of heading out from the cape ann marina on summer mornings and doing my best (in an alliance with my stepbrother) to take money from tourists via the pool. And we succeeded a fair amount of the time;).

Plus, jerry hill helped my dad one time when his sailboat capsized outside of the harbor back in the 70's
.

I sure hope those boats find somewhere to dock in gloucester!
