I've got an F100 that is leaking either gas or oil from the engine just above the waterline. The engine is running fine, so it doesn't seem to be causing a problem. I'm just wondering if there is some simple maintenance I could do to get it to stop. It seems to appear after the engine has been running. The oil/gas will contine to appear after the engine is off. Doesn't seem to be coming out of the exhaust. Anyone have any familiarity with this type of problem? As always, I'm grateful for any thoughts.

Any time left on the warranty ?

I know this is obvious but even though it's running fine there may be a leak that could get worse in a oil or gas line, & leave you stranded porgy fishing.. might just be from the exhaust when you shut her down but I'd have it looked @ before going out again..

I have no idea on those engines, but being a 4-stroke outboard, is that carberated? It's fairly common for carbs to leak when floats get stuck, logged, or are out of adjustment. Most carbed engines leak a bit when you tilt them up & some do right after you shut them down when the engine is hot (fuel expands). I'd look in that area first,
