wire line reels

I FISH IN THE RARITAN BAY AREA AND TROLL WIRE ON PENN 114H SENATORS. THESE REELS ARE A LITTLE BIG, BUT THEY DO THE JOB. I WOULD SUGGEST THE 113 SENATORS. THEY ARE A BIT SMALLER & ARE TOUGH ENOUGH TO TROLL THE WIRE. REMEMBER TO USE RODS WITH THE CORRECT CARBOLOY EYES ON THEM. TIGHT LINES.

I FISH IN THE RARITAN BAY AREA AND TROLL WIRE ON PENN 114H SENATORS. THESE REELS ARE A LITTLE BIG, BUT THEY DO THE JOB. I LIKE THE PENNS BECAUSE THEY ARE STRONG AND WILL PROBABLY LAST FOREVER WITH A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF MAINTANANCE I WOULD SUGGEST THE 113 SENETORS THEY ARE A BIT SMALLER & ARE TOUGH ENOUGH TO TROLL THE WIRE. REMEMBER TO USE RODS WITH THE CORRECT CARBOLOY EYES ON THEM. TIGHT LINES.

WIRE LINE REELS

I use Penn 309's (levelwinds) They seem to hold up well. The only drawback in the retrieve ratio- although 3-1 ratio the spool is small. I put big converta handles on them. They have (had) chromed brass spools. Some people use the Penn 330GTI (levelwind) The levelwind helps with the wire line, especially with a novice, as we all know, wire line is not easy or pleasant to work with! Drag washers are the same as the Penn 113 (not H) senator.
