Amazing

Hey Paulie,

That is wild. I grew up in East Rockaway on the Grand Canal by the Marine Bureau. As a kid I fished that inlet, Reynolds channel, swift creek, the old warm waters you name I was there. There where some great days then in the late 60's and 70's.:) Yea I know I'm old, I'll be 50 this month... Holy S#%$# the big 50.

I guess I"ll have to get you out to FI Inlet by me for a day or moriches same distance either way.;)

Some day we should hook up once this weather breaks.

What is the BayPark fishing site, I might know some names on there?

Paulie, Some friends at work who scuba dive have told me about decent size tuna (yft and bft) in Moriches inlet. They have seen it quite often, actually. They've also seen tarpon swimming the inlets as well. The most interesting thing they've told me, is that there are tremendous bass down there that swallow 8 pound tog like gum drops. I've been told that we couldn't use a bait big enough to catch those girls. I keep trying, but I haven't found one yet.

I've heard a year or two ago of a surf fisherman catching an 80 lb yellowfin and after hooking it the fish shot right into the beach and practically beached itself.
