Mike from Manhattan. I am new to Yakking and look foward to getting some good tips and advice from the board. I have a sit on top Cobra- blue; my buddy has one in red. I fish the Montauk area mostly, if not all the time. I think it will be the only area I will fish with the Kayak. I leave it at the house out there. I plan to get out a lot this year and I will share my trips with everyone. Hope to get some good advice from anyone who Yak's the area too!
Diamond Wrapper. We don't fool around. The reason you order something is because you need it. So we send it.

The sport needed some reliable, honest guys, who were more concerned in the customers needs than profits. Profits come if you treat people right. I look forward to meeting and fishing with you and everyone else on the forum.

Magilla, turns out they killed the blues at Union Beach on Wednsesday. I knew that I wanted to get out of Cliffwood and head over there. That's fishing.

OL' ZAK HERE,
I'VE BEEN KAYAK FISHIN' FOR 6 OR 7 SEASONS NOW AND I DON'T RIGHTLY REMEMBER EVER SEEING ON OF YOU SIT-ON-TOP YAKKERS OUT ON THE WATER. I FISH MID ISLAND, BOTH NORTH N' SOUTH SHORES. I'VE BEEN WANTING TO CHECK OUT HOW THOSE OPEN TYPES TAKE THE WAKES AND SUCH. I IMAGINE YOU GET WET EVERY TIME OUT, OR IS THERE ANY WAY TO AVOID IT?
haddockhead-

This will be my first season with the yak, and I fish the same waters you mentioned. My parents live in Copiague, and I routinely make trips home to fish on the weekends. As soon as I get the yak outfitted, we gotta hook up.

I have 2 boats a stealth and a fish and dive. I fish all over, northshore, GSB, northfork, Montauk, Moriches and once in a while up by New Rochelle.
I paddle an OK Frenzy (Bathtub toy). I prefer to toss a fly, but always bring a regular rod to snag bunker or throw plugs to that elusive cow. I fish from Mamaroneck to Greenwich as well as the Bristol, RI area and like to get into rocky areas where boats can't . Looking for others to fish with especially at night.
See ya on the water
