But if I were to do it, I'd rent a car in NJ - then transfer the goods in NJ to another car to take to NY - after making sure I wasn't tailed.

Well, here where I am in Oklahoma, they're all over the place.
Every other parking lot has a makeshift stand selling them.
I'd take some home with me but I think the airlines kind of frown on that sort of thing....

It's so ridiculous that they're illegal in NY

you get a lot of bang for a couple hundred bucks,my mother was crying about going to jail the whole way home.

Those tents are everywhere here in CT. But, nothing real loud sold at them.............just the basic pretty fountains, roman candles, bottle rockets....ya know, your standard assorted fireworks bundles.......

I still have a couple block busters, some large sky rockets and a bunch of assorted stuff from a few years ago when I went to SC to see Pedro's cousin WillyBob.......

I'm affraid to light them....
