and what is the current price? Fishing there first week in Oct., wondering if I should fuel up in the Greenport area first or not.

Throughout the summer I've been paying between $4.35 and $4.79 for gas out in Montauk. I haven't been out there since the Grand Slam tournament (Aug 24th), so I can't provide current prices.

Best bet would be to call around before you go. Gone Fishing, Star Island, the Marine Basin and Diamond Cove marina all have fuel docks.

I was out there about a month ago and the marine basin was a little cheaper then star island.

gas has been close to a dollar more a gallon out there on land, you should get it first... I always fill up here.. North Fork prices seem pretty low, not sure why.
