I was wondering if one of you guys would know which is more stable, a Pungo or an Explorer? I have an Explorer, and it's great, but I saw a Pungo somewhere and it looked like it had a lot of storage easily accessible. Thanks!
I would have to pick the pungo, generally they fact that you are sitting lower in the water will help give you some stability, I used my explorer in all kinds of conditions and never came close to tipping it.
The Pungo is definately the more stable. Just by its design as Joey pointed out.
We just put up a put up a page on kayak fishing features on our website and we address stability (both initial and secondary) among other factors and how they affect fishing.
