Hi all,
New to fishing out in the Peconic area....would like some advice as to where to go for fluke with the family. We have a 21' WA. Should we try Shinne**** Bay, or go out to Gardiner's Bay? I've been reading the posted reports and don't see too much reported, other than porgies, out here. Any suggestions as to where to go would be appreciated....we're planning our first fishing trip this week; up until now we've just been doing some exploring - went up to Shelter Island, went out to Shinne**** Bay, trying to get a feel for the waters out here. Thanks in advance!

Moonie,
You might want to try the deeper water between the north end of Gardniers and the ruins. Be careful of the north bar on the end of Gardiners, not much water there even at high tide. Also along the east side of the island in 40-70 feet of water off eatern plains point.
