This thread should last a while. Tell us where, when and what you'll be fishing next. I'll go first. Where: Gilgo (new moon tomorrow) When: 5:00 AM (Saturday) if the Yankee game does not keep me up to late. High tide is 7'ish. I'm going to sling the fresh bunker I got today and work my lure bag. I see the wind may be stiff (21 mph) out of the the south, but I'm going anyway.

One word of advice.A lot of guys will look at your post but you will get few replies. Why ?Because most people are conditioned on asking "where DID you go ".Everybody is chasing yesterday reports. At least you are using your head and try to formulate a plan instead of waiting by your PC to see if someone will throw you a crumb by posting an report (not necessarily true one , you know that )
Good luck tomorrow

Trying to shovel sand against the tide.

BassChaser, I know. I have been on this sight for over two years now. There are a lot of very informative and generous people. But than there are others that take & take & don't give back. As one can see, this part of the website is called "Noreast.com Discussion Board" not "Viewing Board". So I was hoping for some pro-active feedback, even if some of it is going to be bogus.

Oh well, it's early Saturday AM and it sounds like Mother Nature is blowing to 25 mph + out of the south. This will probably make me re-eavaluate the Gilgo decision for Sunrise. Maybe RM bay side?

Fished the back bays last night. There was a ton of bait around but All I managed was a few small bass. Hopefully conditions will be better to fish the open beach. Tomorrow morning I will be chunking somewhere between Gilgo and Cedar.

Hi,
I watch this site all day long at work M-F, looking at reports and posting/answering questions. Made plans with my uncle last night to fish off Robert Moses and/or Sore Thumb on Sunday am just before the high tide. He just called to see if wanted to also give a shot this afternoon so I figured I'd check the board first. With the wind blowing like it is may wait until tomw am. Fyg, he fished Thursday afternoon at Sore thumb and caught and released a nice Striper and Blue, both caught on clam.
Good Luck! Will post after I fish

sticky with what has worked

I mostly fish Captree north pier & Oak Beach, but it's been really slow lately, so I've stayed in my own "back yard" at Cedar Beach, Mount Sinai and have had plenty of Porgie/Black Sea Bass action.

No time to fish until this coming Thursday and Friday, hopefully the action picks up on the South Shore by then.

Gilgo Sunday..........Montauk Friday

Hopefully!!!
If anyone sees two guys kayak surfing at Gilgo and one of them has a surf rod ready to go ...........that'll be me.

Friday I'm going to try to head to Montauk after work.
At least that's my plan if all goes well :)
