I know this is a long shot and a wierd one, but try the Italian Fish Market in Coram. It is on 112, south of 25A, north of 25, in the Produce Warehouse shopping center, also a movie theatre there. Make sure you call before though. They have both live and smoked, and you just want to make sure that they have the live ones. The last eels we got there (For food though) were monsters. Over 15"...
