With the exception of herring and mackeral fishing(wich I think of as "bait fishing") there are few options of winter offshore fishing. Cod have seemed to be in little existence(with only one boat fishing for them, Capt AL), and with the black fish bite seeming to slip into hibernation for the winter. What is to become of the "Winter Anglers?" Will we be forced to commute back and forth to Mass. and RI(abord the Yankee Fleet or the Helen H) to get our hands on some Cod? I would hope not.
