i would appreciate it if some one can give me the directions to block island in n.j. i heard they have some great jetty's there an it would be a good spot to surf fish too. help me if you can.....cat14361

cat14361, do you mean Block Island, Rhode Island? It doesn't mean there is not one, but I've never heard of Block Island, New Jersey.

Unless they moved it recently Block Island is approx 17 miles eastward from Montauk, NY.

Whatever, Block Island is app. 15 mi. off the tip of Montauk Pt. L.I., N.Y.
It is part of Rhode Island. The only way to get there that I know of is #1 private boat. #2 ferry out of Montauk. #3 Possibly? by helicopter. There is probably ferrys out of Connecticut and Rhode Island also.

You could also swim there, but make sure you have the right tide. Just Kidding- Take the ferry from Montauk.

There are ferries from New London CT and Galilee RI as well as air service from westerly RI.
