I live in coney island walking distance from gravesend bay, where in previous yrs. the fish were plentifull and im talking about keeper bass and monsterous blues. this yr it has been a joke. There is plenty of bait such as peanut bunker, herring and mullets but no fish. Can anyone tell me why?

Well the water temp is still too warm I think.
I just starting catching some decent size blues
but nothing compared too last year at this time when I was catching gorilla size blues!!!
Its been slow on the north shore, and this weekend was a blowout because of the 20 to 25 knots winds very hard too cast into the wind.
I gave up on on friday after the weather conditions changed, it went from bad to worst at sunset! Yes there is plenty of bait in the water
because I can see it jumping when I'm working my lure into shore. Plus this is the the 4th weekend that has been a blowout. Rain and now this windy weather. Thats my report from the north shore ,
Riverhead to Mattituck zone!
