One of my favorite things about a kayak is that it will take you where most boats can go and it will obviously take you to where yiou can walk. the great part are all those places in between where neither can go. Places too shallow for a boat and no access on foot. I love fishing these types of spots especially at night when the fish get real shallow. These fish don't see pressure and if you're quiet they don't know you're there. Lots of hits at the yak and of course we wade alot.

Doug, there's a certain kayak company that is going to get worked for a kayak with all the trimmings. If they're not nice the next 15 seconds may have another yak in it.
Doug, for fast yaks have you checked on the Hobie Mirage. Its a tank but with the pedal and the paddle it will exceed 5 knots! For a 35" beam that's moving. Guess who can get them?
