I am looking forward to seeing this show. I am really into everything NASA and find this stuff fascinating. I have visited several NASA facilities, and many of their subcontractor?s sites. The stuff never ceases to amaze me.

I DVR?ed it. I want to watch it in HD, but it was too hot upstairs last night :rolleyes: so I recorded it and hung out on the main floor.

I don't get it

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING EVENT: on successive Sundays, June 8, 15 and 22 at 9pm E/P, Discovery will premiere two full episodes as single two-hour shows as follows:
* Friends and Rivals (June

* The Explorers (June 15)
* Home in Space (June 22)

So Friends and Rivals was really 2 shows, including Ordinary Supermen??

Yes, Friends and Rivals and Ordinary Supermem Were the 2 Episodes in Show 1

Sunday's show covered Mercury and Gemini, with "Ordinary Supermen" being the Mercury part, and "Friends and Rivals" covering Gemini.

Somehow they screwed up the programming; my DVR thought it was 2 separate shows and wanted to record the second run of the show Sunday night as "Ordinary Supermen" after the initial 2 hour showing of that and the "Friends and Rivals."

As everyone said, good show. The best part was having Armstrong who is so reclusive you'd think he was a hermit. I just watched another program set on Apollo, In The Shadow Of The Moon, and that one had some great footage and stories too, but no Neil.

IMHO, the sight of the take off of a Saturn 5 rocket is a testament to the ingenuity and perseverance of mankind and what this country can do when it is unified and determined. Unfortunately, that's a 40 year old sight. We desparately need another unifying theme to get oursleves back on track...

I just watched last Sunday's Apollo program, I thought it was great. The night launch of Apollo 17 must have been some sight for those lucky enough to see it in person.

I've had this button since I was six years old, I definitely remember getting it from a street vendor outside of Dad's office across from GCT.
