When cometh the Stripers to Plum Island? Lowell?

I don't have the slightest idea on lowell; from another site, the word is Lawrence Dam begining of May. That means they are expected in the Plum Island area mid to late April. It's immeadiatly obvious by the boat traffic around the mouth of the merrimac when the stripers have shown up.

I am new to the area and I now have a time frame to look forward to. In regard to the lowell portion: I tried some fising in the lowell area late last summer and saw a few stripers in the area feeding and I did not know if this was common. I had no luck with the stripers but I cought some small bass. I was able to walk from shore to shore through the water with some waders on. Not easy but I did it. Thanks again for the help.
