I know alot of us obsessive fishing tackle junkies have that one reel, that one reel that you love so much and probably either use it all the time or just cant use it because its mint or old or decomissioned. Some might have several. So lets hear it, what is your favorite reel ever???
Obviously most of you know im a big Penn collector. My favorite reel is the Penn 714 ultrasport. I have 2 greenies and 1 Z. I used 1 of the greenies for some time now for ultralight fishing in lakes, jetties, backbays. I caught plenty of fish with it. What i love about it is for a small reel it has some powerful drag. The biggest fish i caught on it was a 16lb bass that almost stripped the gears

I had a Mitchell 300 that I used almost everyday as a kid fishing around City Island. Especially loved it for casting rebel plugs for bass in the back fo Eastchester Bay:) Another favorite is the Diawa Sealine 50H. I got my first one back in the early 80s and caught thousands of fish on it. The reel is virtually indestructible. I still ahve the first one and it works great as do the others that I bought
