One day years ago on my old boat we were fishing flounders down by Raritan. This small(19-23') white sailboat comes by with the name'Blow Me" in big red letters across the sail.I got a kick out of it and thought it was kind of original for a boats name.

You'd really need to see the boat but........

There was a 30' something, wooden hull in Portsmouth that the owner removed the pilothouse and replaced it with this goofy looking vinyl sided monstrosity...sliding shower doors and all.

The guy was one of the funniest people I've ever met...a genuine fruitcake.

Anyway, where we docked on the Pisscataqua River could have some large traffic with a powerplant upriver and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard right across from us. Not unusual to hear "SECURITAY SECURITAY SECURITAY tanker such and such now approaching Portsmouth Harbor entrance, all vessels give way"

So sitting tied up on my boat one day, we hear this nutjob come over the radio...."SECURITAY SECURITAY SECURITAY motor vessel 'AUDACITY' now entering Portsmouth harbor" The guy was classic
...all of us rolling on the deck.

Yup, that was the name of his boat....'Audacity' Perfect!

I've got 2!

My friend has a boat named "Crack Oar". We fished the Oak Bluffs tournament a few years ago, and had the cameras on the boat. It was real funny to hear the narrator say the boat's name fast on national tv. Even funnier was when my friend told the world on ESPN that he had named the boat after his wife!

The other one was a sail boat I saw in Huntington Harbor when I was running the Noli. I was on my way back to the dock, and saw a sailboat named "BOHICA". I almost wet my pants! A regular was in the pilot house with me and said, "I don't get it!" BOHICA = Bend Over, Here It Comes Again! 2 years ago, a guy came into my office to talk to his son who worked for me, and he had a windbreaker on that said "BOHICA". It was his boat. Small world.
