Strippers

Hey guys,
I am planning on heading out and around Jones Inlet tonight in search of some stripped bass. I have no fished for strippers in some time and wonder if anyone out thre has some advice for me.
Any tips on bait, drift/anchor, and area selection would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

DC,

Try and re-post your question, as a topic in the boating angler fourm. Also read some of the reports posted under fishing updates for that area.

I have had some luck around that area on bellies, I do not want to discourage you from drifting eels though. I think high tide is around 11:00pm. If using eels, I personally would drift. Unless you know the area and have a spot to work. If you get a hit or a run off you may want to mark the area. There are a lot of blue fish running around so be prepared to loose a few eels.

If you go w/ bellies anchor and chum, chum, chum.

By saying around JI you are talking about a large area. Inside? outside? bridges? bays? etc...

Strippers

I have a feeling I will be staying on the inside of the inlet, as it looks like the seas could get snotty tonight. I think I will throw anchor on the west side by the beach....going to go with the bellies and chum. blues are always a fun time if the strippers dont feel like playing.

IF THE STRIPPERS DON'T FEEL LIKE PLAYING?

I can't even get my own wife to play these days & you're getting strippers to play with you?

Suggest changing the spelling to stripers (one r) beforeyou post this in the Boating Forum....
