In my humble opinion, go with an ugly stik. I have a 12 foot, 2 piece, and I absolutely love it. There are enough varieties of ugly stik for you to choose from too. Oh and the ugly stiks are not going to make your wallet cry for mercy either.

ok so I have an ugly stik and I love it. I am a nice guy and meeting me in a dark alley --well no worries hehe. Just had to post a reply, the ugly is heavy--granted, but I feel confident that if I need to really haul on a fish I can. If I need to put a lot o muscle behind that rod, it will take it and ask for more. hehe
