What counts as a catch

The old lady (kadams) and i are debating what she can count as a catch. Now i know being that she had surgery in January i have to be lenient but we thought we would ask all the members. She is dying to claim her own bass, but is concerned with trying to land it. So the question is??????

If she hooks it, but i reel it in, who gets the credit
