Drop the boat in the water for the first time this year. 2005 Volvo I/O. I go to pull away from the dock but the boat wont get out neutral

. I tried forward and reverse but nothing. I replaced the stering cable last season and no issues. Any suggestions?

Could be as simple as the throttle cable, switch it into forward with the engine cover off and look to see if the cable engages.

Check the cable first, it could just need an adjustment.
