Saturday afternoon, around 1 o'clock, I met a friend at Turtle Cove to hit some golf balls. As I turned into the parking lot I glanced across the street to see if anyone was fishing in the cove. As there usually is in the spring, a large groups of guys were fishing from shore. All of the sudden I see 2 DEC officers walking over to the crowd and another 2 DEC trucks pulling up to the cove. I do not know if anyone was keeping illegal fish or not, but I must say that I am glad to see these guys. I believe that making their presence known in the area will make people think twice before taking a short or going over the limit.
