I havent been out in a couple of weeks and wanted to see what the Striped Bass fishing was like out there. Conditions were perfect. Calm seas, light crisp West wind and a solid 2 hours of tide. Decided to set up shop in 70ft first. Last few weeks they've been shallower, 20-30 or so but I wanted to check out the deep water first. Dropped down and was immediately on. Had 1 other person on the boat and we were doubling up just about every pass. It was her second time Bass fishing and did great. We managed to boat 15 keepers to 44 inches in the time we had. The Bass were extremely aggresive today and not many Blues. Didnt manage too many pics b/c I wanted to get them all back ASAP. It was a long fight up in 70ft and didnt want them out of the water longer then they needed to be. I've got a few people to take out this week so hopefully it will continue. Might poke my nose out in those shallower spots to see if they're still holding there as well. Only 2 more weeks til Toggin'!!! Can't wait!! <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=118786" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> 1 2 3 4 5 |
