West System Epoxy

Has anyone ever used West System Epoxy to finish wraps? I have applyed it to already finished rods as a maintenence coat, but never to new wraps. I am wondering if it will start to yellow or not. It is very good quality epoxy used for fibreglass repair, but, not sure as to its suitability for a wrap finish.

Hi,

I have met one or two rod builders who use just that. They say it works fine. I have not tried it as I am happy with Classic Rod Coat.

Folks using finish epoxy takes a little getting use to. Each brand has its quirks. Of the brands I come across for rod building purposes I have never heard of a bad brand. After choosing a brand take the time to learn its quirks and make them work for you.
