dusted off the reels and hit the bar for the first time of hopefully many more trips this year. Caught the outgoing and dunked some clams. A slow start compared to last years opener on 4-26 which was a complete massacre. Water still a bit colder, winds were NNW, seas 3-4 in the inlet, water clean and clear. 5 short bass, from 16-25 inches and all the skates you could want. Boat ran great after an overhaul at Grovers. Need the wind to turn around to the ssw which should warm things up and push the bait into the inlet. Radio chatter had fish being diamond jigged in 40 feet s of the pencil...no keepers. Felt good to get out again. Good Fishing and be safe dm <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=81933" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
