11/1: Fished the beginning to mid out-going (about 10:00-11:15 pm). Tide was ripping. Wind out of the west at 20 knots was driving the tide, (day before new moon). Water was fairly clean, just a little eel grass. Fished eels. Wind made it tough to feel what I was doing, as the "spot" is a long cast from where you stand. Two bass, one small, about 28-30", and one 18 lbs. Never felt the pickup on either one, so instead of gut-hooking a bunch of fish I called it a night early.
11/2: Fished the middle to end of the outgoing (about 11:30pm - 2:30am). Wind very light from the west. Water clean, again, just a little eel grass. Tide moving pretty quick, with the new moon. Fished eels for a slow pick of 6 bass. 4 of them were small 28-30", one a shade under 14 lbs, and one 21 lbs. Missed a lot of hits from small fish which seem to be on an increase. I hope the fatty's return after the moon period.
Also saw a ton of shooting stars, including one that looked like a roman candle with a nice burst at the end. Beautiful night to be fishing. -Rich
