why not?

Why not tie your own? Unless you want a very big bulk order of a gross or 1/2 gross i don't think you'll save that much. Let me know how many your intrested in and the type of rig your looking for and i'll see if i can find someone for you ?

Yazinsky, there's an outfit in N.J. that had a booth at the Freeport show. He had a great selection of rigs, teasers, etc., and will build to order. Here's the info from his business card:

Dan Riemann
The Outdoorsmen, Ltd.
12 East Columbia Ave.
Palisades Park, NJ 07650
(201) 945 7335

He doesn't list a web site on his card, or even an email address - but he exists.

Second the recommedation

I'll second the recommendation of Dan from the Outdoorsmen. He custom ties some very nice fluke rigs (as well other other species). He also ties a nice assortment of teasers that are just dealy for fluke. I plan on picking up a good amount of hooks, teasers, silver bullets and more from his booth at the upcoming hunting & fishing expo in Suffern.

Tie your Own

Hi Yaz... My suggestion is this.

Go to a few shows pick up pre-tied rigs and use them as a templete.

If you are new to this and have guestions about knots there is a section on the board that will show you how to do it.

All the items you want, slide on feathers, beads, spinners and clevis's can be purchased at at show.
You will be able to choose what type of hooks you would like also and by then in bulk of 25, 50, or 100 pack. Get a few friends together and by bulk and split it up.

Bottom line is use your imagination when doing your own.

Read some of the threads on fluke rigs, leader material, baits etc.

You can find a lot of good information also by using the search button for almost anything you want on any topic also.

There have been some good threads where a lot of your answeres can be found. And by all means if you get stuck ask a question anytime and you will get a lot of replys.

Look on the General Fishing Forum for a list of shows coming up.

There is one upstae this weekend I think also, in Suffern.:)

Right here on this board>>>>>>>>>>>

Like evryone said here these vendors area at all the expo and fishing shows they have all the skrits your talking about and my I suggest 2 teaser makers that are on this site. Toms teasers, Harvey Pnutbunker and, Chucks bucks. all 3 make excellent teasers for fluking andif you have never tried then your missing a world of the unknow. you could pm them on the site or put a post on thisboard to make contact with you. they can make teasers you need any shape colors or size. Good luck :)

My recomendation would be to try the local tackle stores after the season opens to see what is working. You could go out a buy a full seasons worth of the type of rig that killed them last year and hope they work again this year. Or you could find out what is currently working and buy a few trips worth at a time. That way you don't run the risk of having a full tackle box worth of fluke rigs that aren't very effective. Granted you would have bought those rigs at a great price, but if they aren't effective they end up not being a bargain.

This used to be the OUTDOORSMANS web site, but for some reason its not working:

MDTACKLE

Dan was at the Suffren show last year, and probably will be there this year. I know Dan for years, and i have bought loads of stuff from him. Great guy, and anything he sells is top notch. His fluke and weakfish rigs are some of the best on the market.
