My posts are winding down and as are my fish, thanks for the PM's though, there is still some spotty action to be had in a few locations. I started off this Tuesday with going fishing with the old man(!!!) He really doesn't get out much lately so it was rockin. He wanted to fish Gerritsen, so Gerritsen we fished, I walked along Ave U, and saw a ton of snapper fisherman so I slapped my waders on got low tide and fished the pilings, I ended up with one 6 lb Blue on a Deadly Dick and about 5 schoolies mostly on Tsunami 4" shads. They were all in the twenty inch range, Blues hit far out, Bass close to shore. My dad lost a blue about 6 lbs. as well but no bass for him. Yesterday at around 10 pm, I wanted to give it a go off the beach, Brighton Beach was the target, I dead sticked clams and squid combo for tons of weeds and a wind that picked up and chased me to SHB, lots of snappers in the water I managed two and a few ruined lures. Saw a few locals there and one guy managed two schoolies on a small shad. This morning I had my Kayak ready but the wind was howling, so I caught the low tide again at Gerritsen and slapped my waders on, walked the whole stretch of the creek as it was pretty lifeless, saw a few Oyster Toadfish swimming around, finally I found a pod of candy sized Bunker far down, I toss a Deadly Dick into the school and what I think to be a Bluefish is on, culled him to close to shore and out of nowhere this HUGEEEE WEAKFISH rockets out of the water, hook pops out and that was that, Bunker school dissapeared, first time I saw a weakfish in two years there. Might try again tomorrow. I realize I burned my spot a bit, but without waders or a kayak, it's impossible to fish. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=89039" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like>
