Tonight ~ no real plans. I already dropped the boat cover off to get repaired / modified. Take the pooch out to the beach and then figure what I want to buy and then cook for supper. I will then watch the Mets game on television.
I thought about going to the game tonight seeing it is ?
Dog Night? and all, but I went to the game Tuesday and leaving work early after taking off Tuesday might be frowned upon
. I would have to get there
real early so me & my Pal could do the walk around like a couple of years ago. There is another ?
Dog Night? in September, and we will be at that one.
Saturday ~ Do some cleaning at home, and re caulk the bathtub and then head over to the shop and work on the boat.
I have to move it back on the trailer so I can touch up where I could not get to when I bottom painted it a couple of weeks ago. Scuff up the lower unit and clear coat that and then put in a new bilge pump. I removed the zincs the other night and after clear coating I will put the new ones in. One of the zincs was pretty well hidden, but my local guy helped me out.
Sunday ~ Scrub a dub, dub and thoroughly clean the boat. After a good thorough cleaning I will compound and wax it. I will pull it outside (rain or shine) to wash it, and then pull it back inside to dry and detail it.
I will also scout out some fishing spots more carefully (with binoculars
) that I have seen some swirls at the last several days. I know some bait and fish are around. I saw an osprey munching on a flounder last weekend.
After this weekend the boat will be ready to dunk one evening next week, figured I just might do a little fishing while I am checking it out
. Although I should be practicing pulling in and out of slips before they get too crowded (never did it before
) but the urge to wet the line seems to be taking priority in my lil? head.
