The latest for this coming weekend looks like anouther Saturday (or even sunday) spent in the bay:

Synopsis for Long Island waters and New York Harbor-
330 PM EDT Wed Oct 2 2002
Synopsis: A cold front will slowly approach the coastal waters tonight and will move south of the waters on Thursday. High pressure behind the front will build into New England Thursday night and will move offshore on Friday. Another cold front is forecast to move across the region on Saturday. Weak high pressure will then build into the region on Sunday, before another front approaches from the west on Monday.

BoatUS also sent out E-mails to its members nationwide alerting them to this (I guess BoatUS as a marine insurance carrier prefers to prevent accidents or damage to boats, it's just pure common sense I think).

Now, even if we can't go out on the ocean let's hope there's stripers out there in the bay...
