I was just wondering about the weather and fishing. I know there has been some talk, rising barometer or falling is better? I also came across a site that has personal weather stations with what looks like some good up to date information. Unfortunetly, for the south shore, there are only 2 sites. One at West Islip and one at Babylon.

Fish feed during low pressure, overcast skys are my preferance, and northeast winds bring the bait in.

5ofakind, I have been using that site, known as "weather-under-ground" for years, it is a very good weather site with a lot of links for other weather, sea condition information, etc.

I always love a falling barometer just ahead of a cold front for fishing, especially for fresh water. Every time I go fishing in the small local lakes ahead of a line of T-Storms in the spring, I can catch bass and pickerel until my arms hurt.
