If you can't get your hands on eels---try some 9" Sluggos rigged on an 8/0 hook. Just put the hhok point thru the head andhave it come out underneath, and make sure the whole thing lies straight--no little S-bends between the head and where the hook exits. Little drop of superglue near the hook-eye if you want, helps keep the Sluggo from sliding down the hook.
Any type of plastic on a jighead, and bucktails.
Darters are always a good bet on the inlet side. Needlefish or bottles out front if there's a good surf---last night it was blowing south at 20-25.
