SOME1 TOLD ME THERE'S A GUSH OF WATER SHOOTING UP SOUTH OF THE PENCIL OUTSIDE JI. I HEAR HE CAUGHT A COUPLE OF BASS THERE LAST WEEK. IS THERE SUCH A THING AND WHAT IS IT? SEWAGE OUTLET AND IS IT NOTISABLE ?

OUTFALL? THAT SOUNDS LIKE SEWAGE I GUESS. CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE INFO ON LOCATION? I WAS TOLD BOUT 40' OF WATER SOUTH OF PENCIL, IS THAT CORECT?

it's not due south from the pencil, it's a little bit east....sorta between Field 6 @ Jones and the western end of Tobay Beach...

It does appear on charts if you have one, it's a greyish line extending out from the shore and is actually labeled "outfall". The actual upwelling of the water occurs at the southern end if memory serves me right, someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong there...

I'm pretty sure it's not sewage, it's been that way for many years I believe its water return and there was a break in the pipeline which causes the disturbed water. I've fished it with great results and also when nothing was biting at all. Sounds like fishing to me!
