I have an ugly stick tiger rod and would like to remove the fat foam but and add a gimbal and slick but (or similar) to use for inshore school tuna. I've used the rod for this for the past two years, but the lack of gimbal and that fat faom pad stink.

How should I remove the foam, add a gimbal and secure a new material for the but?
