I think D and J meant Georges, not Stellwagen. The Viking doesn't start those trips until April since that area is closed until then. Last year February and March had a bunch of Wreck trips and Georges trips planned, however, most did not sail to weather!

Steve usually makes the Viking first Long range trips sometime in Late Feb early March depending upon the weather and the fishing on Steelwagon.
Don't know where they fish but I am interested in an "extended trip" at the end of March.

Not Georges Crabcake

Actually the first offshore trips are usually to Steelwagon as Georges has not been holding enough bait in the spring to draw enough fish to make the trip to Georges worthwhile. Bothe Steve and the HELEN H usually fish Steelwagon in the Spring.

Too early for Viking Schedule yet

Steve is in Mass getting the Starship ready for the first local trips which are scheduled for the end of Jan. Most likely will not post the rest of the 2008 schedule until sometime in Feb.

Hey Guys,

Just spoke with Steven who is in the process of finishing the schedule...it should be posted by Saturday the latest. While the first local trip is slated for the 26th, Steven said we would be doing limited trips on the Star the week before(MLK weekend) so keep an eye out. The first offshore trip will be Feb 2nd and will be a 60-80 mile wreck trip. That will be posted this weekend. Hope everyone had a great holiday and Happy New Year!!!
