I have the old Van Staal 250 model. I'm not happy with the drag system. I was hoping to upgrade to the new system. Anyone know what is involved in upgrading?
New mainshaft, new spool and lots of $$. Better off replacing the friction material in your drag with fiber ones from penn 704 z series. HT100 material is big improvement, much less $ and fits fine. You will still need the metal from the VS.
