Hi. I'm planning to go to the west end of Jones Beach in the night time to fish for striped bass and blue fish.

I'm planning to use yellow and white bucktails (1 oz.) and Hopkins lures (2.25 oz.).

However, clams might work better at this time of the year.

Have you had good results recently with clams or artificial lures at Jones Beach?

Not that fishing has been all that great... but we've been getting couple of reports of Bass caught on Sandworms too.

cut the clams into long thin strips and put them on the bucktail

bunker will probably get you bigger fish if their around. Get ready for plenty of dogs and skates.
