Anyone scheduled for this Fridays 1 day Helen H cod trip ? I am. This is my 4 th reservation this year. The first 3 were canx due to weather. The forcast is looking good so far for this Friday. Needless to say my fingers are crossed. We'll see...............<)))><

Gary Sinestra and I are scheduled to go and we're going along with 2 other guys. I think we're boarding around 25 or so. The weather looks good, I just hope that the ice isn't a problem. The boys at causeway told me today that a guy who fished last week on the HH caught real good numbers of fish in the 5-12# class.

Hey I am on that trip to. I was supposed to go out on Wed but they cancelled and I got on to Fri. list. Can't wait to go fishing! I have already had about 6 trips blown out and this one looks like its going to make it. I am headed down with one of my buddies on this trip, my name is Ken.

Same here. I'll be the guy with all his gear jammed into my ford tempo. Hehehehehe. My friends always chicken out of these trips so I'll be by my self. I usually fish in the bow.

I will be going as well on this trip. I work right around the corner from their dock and they seem to have made the trip today. Weather looks good. Seas 4-5. There is still ice but the ferries are making it through and there in not any ice around the Helen-H dock. Should be a good trip. Kind of glad they made it out today. A scouting trip for us since they have had to cancel so many trips.

Just called the Heleh H for tomorrows trip and it's a go. Boat is leaving at 3 a.m., so be there by 2 a.m. they said. Weather looks Great. Still have fingers crossed. <)))><

The Helen-H has been doing well on the recent trip whenever they could go out.
On the 02-10 trip, they fished small area alongside with small commercial boats. Everybody did very well with 5 - 10 lbs cod. Yesterday(02-20) was the first trip after 02-10. She went back to the area she fished on the last trip. Fishing was OK in the morning, but it was not like on the 02-10 trip. By mid-day fishing became picky as current and wind got stronger. Some guys had to use 30 - 40 oz sinker to hold bottom. By 1:00 PM cod started biting again until we left. Fishing was excellent on the last spot, but stranagely jid did not work at all. All bait fishing.
