Has anyone tried an umbrella rig set up with tuna lures (i.e. feathers, clones etc.) for any offshore species? I have umbrella rigs and don't want to spring for spreader bars for the few times BFT come in close enough for me to fish for them if I don't have to. I realize some lures may be too heavy for umbrella rig arms to support.

Thanks for the imput Pauly and Mahi Mahi. I have no riggers so I Guess I'll have to stick with daisy chains. Or maybe I'll just try the unmrella rig with just skirts (unweighted) and hooks. If it doesn't work I haven't lost anything.
