alot of money for a fake sporting event no? I think the last thing I paid the Dolan$ extra for was a 30 second Mike Tyson fight, cost me about 2 bucks a minute, should've went with the lap dance.
The Dolan$ thank you. If everyone boycoted these things they would end up on commercial TV for "free"*
My cable bill is over $100 a month
UFC is anything but fake...That's why MMA in general is the fastest growing sport in America!
I watch every single event the UFC puts on, but...I am not particularly excited about this event.
Tim Sylvia vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Nog did excellent in Pride. But so far in ther UFC he hasn't been too impressive. He's a big guy with one of the best chins in the game, and an excellent ground game. He has had some boring fights over the years though, and he is matched up with the one UFC fighter that is booed almost every single event for his fight being boring too. Hopefully big Tim comes out swinging here, and Nog puts on a better showing than his fight against the Texas crazy horse.
Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar
Yeah, it's exciting that Lesnar is in the UFC. Pretty ballsy for a WWF guy who made millions already to come into the sport. He has the big colliegate career. I beleive he was a 4 time NCAA National champ or something like that...But he only has what 1 MMA fight to his name? And it was a lackluster performance against a guy half his size. Mir after the motorcycle accident has never been the same. He got clobbered by Brandon Vera! But this fight to me has two ways of being decided. An early submission by Mir, or a TKO or ref stoppage from Lesnar. I think this one might dissapoint!
Jeremy Horn vs Nate Marquart
This is a battle between two very well rounded MMA artists. Horn has over 100 fights, and is known as one of the best ground fighters in the game. Marquart is no joke either but for the matchmakers here, I am a little surprised they put this one together. If you don't like grappling, this fight will probably dissapoint also.
Gleason Tibeau vs Tyson Griffen
IMO this is the fight of the night. Griffen is a great young fighter out of Randy Couture's camp He has impressive wins on his resume already. Excellent stamina, and very well rounded. Tibeau has also looked dominating so far. This one should be an up-tempo bang em out brawl.
