I was just talking to my buddies about it. I think im going to order it and have some people over. Any ideas of how much and if its in hd?
$39.95. Not sure about HD. The last few weren't. There is a channel in the 700's that's supposed to be HD pay-per-view, but it wasn't on there.

alot of money for a fake sporting event no? I think the last thing I paid the Dolan$ extra for was a 30 second Mike Tyson fight, cost me about 2 bucks a minute, should've went with the lap dance.

The Dolan$ thank you. If everyone boycoted these things they would end up on commercial TV for "free"*

My cable bill is over $100 a month

Brock is an animal.
I like to see him fight Kimbo.
Fake sporting event?????

My cable bill is way over that when I purchase this, but my buddies usually chip in.

You get several fights and most of them last a couple rounds.

I hope he's a better fighter than an actor!

Thats not so bad. Ill buy it, have my buddies buy beer, and have my wife pay the cable bill for the month of February. Now im a smart fella!

Brock is a beast, hopefully he will be able to throw some punches instead of just doing his wrestling stuff (not wwe).
my bad thought it was one of those WWE ripoffs... now back to our regularly scheduled thread.. offthehook probably more entertaining than the Isles these days eh?

Hopefully the Islanders will entertain us tomorrow afternoon with a much needed win.

UFC is anything but fake...That's why MMA in general is the fastest growing sport in America!

I watch every single event the UFC puts on, but...I am not particularly excited about this event.

Tim Sylvia vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Nog did excellent in Pride. But so far in ther UFC he hasn't been too impressive. He's a big guy with one of the best chins in the game, and an excellent ground game. He has had some boring fights over the years though, and he is matched up with the one UFC fighter that is booed almost every single event for his fight being boring too. Hopefully big Tim comes out swinging here, and Nog puts on a better showing than his fight against the Texas crazy horse.

Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar
Yeah, it's exciting that Lesnar is in the UFC. Pretty ballsy for a WWF guy who made millions already to come into the sport. He has the big colliegate career. I beleive he was a 4 time NCAA National champ or something like that...But he only has what 1 MMA fight to his name? And it was a lackluster performance against a guy half his size. Mir after the motorcycle accident has never been the same. He got clobbered by Brandon Vera! But this fight to me has two ways of being decided. An early submission by Mir, or a TKO or ref stoppage from Lesnar. I think this one might dissapoint!

Jeremy Horn vs Nate Marquart
This is a battle between two very well rounded MMA artists. Horn has over 100 fights, and is known as one of the best ground fighters in the game. Marquart is no joke either but for the matchmakers here, I am a little surprised they put this one together. If you don't like grappling, this fight will probably dissapoint also.

Gleason Tibeau vs Tyson Griffen
IMO this is the fight of the night. Griffen is a great young fighter out of Randy Couture's camp He has impressive wins on his resume already. Excellent stamina, and very well rounded. Tibeau has also looked dominating so far. This one should be an up-tempo bang em out brawl.

What do u think about the Kimbo and Tank match?
Should be over pretty fast, when Tank gets knocked the fork out!
What say you?
i think tank can knock him out if he can land a few
Brock took him down and pounded him, but due to inexperience he got caught in a leg lock. He will get better. Good fights all night.
I thought it was a pretty good card. If Lesnar continues training MMA, he could be an animal. He took down Mir with ease and had some pretty good ground and pound. Mir is very crafty off his back so the submission end didnt really surprise me. Sylvia gave big Nog a beating until Nog did what he does best and submitted the Giant. I would love to see Randy come back and fight Nog. I think it would be a great fight. Nate Marquardt showed his skills against Jeremy Horn and submitted him. hopefully the UFC gives him another shot at Anderson Silva. Can't wait till GSP gets the chance to redeem himself against matt serra. Although serra is a local long islander, there next fight is going to be much different than their first.

Tog- Personally I think Kimbo is going to win via late 1st round TKO or ref stoppage. He is just in far better shape than Tank is. I guess Abbott still has the punchers chance, but...in the interviews I saw, Abbott looked like crap. He didn't even have the same air of confidence he used to. I think Tank is in this one for the payday at this point in his career.

On the fights...I have to say they were much better than I anticipated. Most of the fights were pretty good, and I found them all entertaining.

Lesnar's not done cooking yet. Has the strenght, talent, but needs to work on his skills, and sub defense. He had Mir at his mercy...untill the foot sweep.

Big Tim Sylvia must be kicking himself! He had Nog almost out on his feet. I couldn't believe when they stood Nog up that Tim didn't go for the high leg kick. It was right there, and Nog had his hands down. But Nog showed once again, why he is ranked as high as the number 2 heavyweight in the game. He has had numerous wars like the one with Sylvia, and comes out on top often. I hope Randy comes out of retirement to fight him. I do think Randy will eat him up though.

Tyson Griffen stole another decision.

I agree with the tyson griffen decision....he may have won the fight, but in my opinion, it def. wasnt a 30-27 fight!
