OK, I have a few tuna jigs someone sent me from San Diego: Salas, Tady, Ironman, Raider. Are tehse useful for Tuna here? I've yet to get Offshore, but would like to at least once this year.

What jigs are popular for N'East Tuna?

Sure are! What sizes? A 6X Jr. Heavy is the all-around jig.

The west coast jigs have a side-to-side action, different from the diamond jigs we use. They also do a lot more casting using long (8'-9') rods. The style of vertical jigging they do is called yo-yo and involves more cranking than rod lifting.

For general tuna use, I like any of the chrome jigs.

Hope this helps,
