Wow, i couldn't believe the news about the truck that rolled off the back of the Susan Anne ferry at Plum Gut. I feel sorry for the truckers family and i wonder what went wrong. From early reports, his truck was the last to board the ferry at New London and people were told they could go to their cars shortly before the incident since they were arriving at Orient. From this, i gather that he released the brakes and was perhaps pre-occupied with something else and didn't realize the truck was rolling backwards until it was too late. It's a shame the guy lost his life over it.
