Trout Stocking

I spoke to the man in charge of trout stocking in Westchester County. All of the usual areas will be stocked by the end of this week in Westchester County.

If you go to the NY state DEC website there is a county by county list of the places the trout will be stocked along with the numbers stocked in each spot. I will probably check my usual opening day areas tomorrow in N West. to confirm there presence. Last year the water was so low the fishin was tough. This year will probaly be just the opposite.

Hold Overs

Had some nice holdover brookies last year on the opener. The larger ones were taken from the East Bracch of the Croton above Sodom Res.
